Rural School Intensive, 2011
No CommentsThe Rural School Intensive will be held between 28th September and 2nd October, 2011 at Pariwartan, Village Narendrapur, District Siwan, Bihar. This is going to be a National level activity where around 200 students will come from all over the country and stay for five days in the beautiful and serene atmosphere of village Narendrapur, a neighbouring village of Jeeradei, the native place of the first President of India, Dr Rajendra Prasad. Pariwartan is a new community centre that will house an ITI, a Kisan Seva Kendra, a Health Centre, a Cultural Centre, a Library and other facilities for the rural development of the area. It is a cluster of buildings dotted over a lush green lawn spread over an 18 acre area. Siwan is located on the Gorakhpur Howrah line and has direct trains from most places of country.
There will be several activities in different modules like Classical Music, Classical Dance, Folk Music and Dance, Theatre, Cinema, Painting, Literature etc. All this will be done by the masters in their fields. It will have performances, presentations, talks etc. of these maestros. There will be several workshops in different art forms and aspects of Indian Culture. These workshops are intended be more intense than a typical workshop and so we call it Intensive. The students will have the privilege of close proximity with the great personalities which we think could be very inspiring.
