SPIC MACAY Mangalore Chapter is organizing “PARAMPARA 2012” series during January-March ’12. This is an annual series comprising an eclectic mixture of performances by artists and workshops in folk and classical arts, literature, art and craft, talks, theatre, films and yoga, held across 40 educational institutions in Dakshina Kannada region.
Some of the eminent artistes who will be performing in this series this year are:
- Kottakal Chandra Sekhara Warriar and troupe (Kathakali) 16-18 January
- Mysore Chandan Kumar (Carnatic Flute) 16-18 January
- Konark Natya Mantap (Gotipua) 29 Jan – 2 February
- Tejendra Majumdar (Hindustani Sarod) 29 Jan – 2 February
- Pt. Rajshekhar Mansur (Hindustani Vocal) 6 -10 February
