Sharvari Jamenis, an artist of great promise, began receiving training in Kathak at the Nritya Bharati Kathak Academy in Pune. She has been under the tutelage of Guru Pt.a Rohini Bhate, a dancer and teacher of international repute. She holds a diploma in Kathak from Nrityabharati. She has also obtained a Masters degree in Kathak from Pune University where she stood first.
She has given solo, duet and group dance performances in many noteworthy dance festivals of India such as the Kalidas Festival (Nagpur), Kathak Festivals, International Film Festivals, Pune Festival, Hampi Festival (Karnataka), Kajuraho Festival (Madhya Pradesh), Sangeet Natak Academy Awards, besides many others. Her grace, rhythm and expression has captured audiences not only in India, but also in countries such as USA, Mauritius, Kuwait and Dubai, Singapore, Germany, Paris, UK and Vietnam where she has given innumerable performances.
With immense talent comes great creativity. She has choreographed many creative compositions, some of which include „Nritya Vandana‟, „Tripur Dahan‟, „Bhav Amad‟ etc. She has received the „Sringar Mani‟ title by „Sur Sringar Sansad‟ (Mumbai) and „Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar‟ by Sangeet Natak Academy for her contribution in the field of Kathak. Apart from these, she has won many accolades and reached many milestones. Sharvari has also been recognised as a talented actor in the world of Marathi cinema.
